It is always an honor to do photos for these two friends (and fellow photographers), Rebecca and Matthew.
Especially since these photos mark such a special time in their lives.
They have been through two pregnancies with me, and are good buddies with both of my children… so I have been ready for them to procreate for some time now (yay for play dates soon to come)!
But, enough about that– I have to tell you the hilarious circumstances surrounding this session.
First of all, there was a torrential downpour during a good portion of this session. And thunder. And lightning.
I was worried about getting my camera wet, so Matthew walked in tandem with me, holding a golf umbrella over my head.
This was especially eventful for Matthew, given that I shoot with all prime lenses (no zoom, so I move A LOT… which meant that Matthew also had to move A LOT).
Luckily we all have senses of humor, so there were lots of smiles and giggles as Matthew and I bumped into each other and entertained Becca.
Also, if you look at my blog with any regularity, you may have seen my last session with the Ensleins. We were battling the elements that day as well.
But all’s well that ends well, right?
And if you ask me, this ended well.
Happy Baby to my dear friends!
