My job is all about connection.

But connection manifests in so many different ways– connecting with potential clients through my photos, having a personal connection with client when I photograph them… and re-connecting with old friends when they book a session with me.

Elyse’s session fell into the third category (among others), because her mom, Janna, and I were friends many moons ago when we both swam together in Jr. High and High school.

Now Janna is a doctor who does kidney transplants (yep, she’s kind of a smarty pants ;)!) and lives in AZ… so needless to say we don’t cross paths much.

But I love that when she came back to her hometown to visit with family, she booked a session with me!

And as much as I loved reconnecting with Janna, the real treat was meeting the precious and hilarious, Elyse.

This little girl was running all over, loving on her mama, and giving me some of the sweetest smiles you have ever seen.

But she had this one maneuver that I don’t think I’ve ever seen before… she would sit on the ground and put her head to the ground… almost like she was about to start a somersault or a handstand– this little girl kept me giggling!
