Elise first performed for my camera last year, when she and her mom visited from Sunny Arizona!

This year, Dad was able to come too, which made her session twice as fun.

What I didn’t realize is that Elise has not had much experience with leaves and sticks, given the AZ landscape and climate… and after all of the buckets of rain we’ve had over the past few weeks, there were sticks and leaves in abundance EVERYWHERE!

So Elise’s love affair with leaves and sticks (one in each hand– that was the rule!!) was born… and I was the lucky photographer who got to document it <3

She’s grown so much in one year, and I just can’t wait to photograph her again at this time next year!
