Last week I was so excited about my mini sessions.

I had a packed schedule, a gorgeous location and a perfect weather forecast.

But on Friday, the weather forecast started to change.

Suddenly the 0% chance of rain became 30%… then 50%, then 70%, then 90%.

And we’re not just talking rain- by Saturday evening, the forecast was calling for thunderstorms.

You get the picture– I started to panic.

But I trusted my gut and decided not to cancel.

And, as has been the case with several other portrait sessions this rainy Spring/Summer, the rain, which was light and sporadic, provided an exquisite and magical backdrop.

Also, my clients were such troopers– several came requesting the clear umbrella I used for Matthew & Rebecca’s shoot last week, excited to have the opportunity to use it!

Mother Nature, why did I ever doubt you?
