Surprises in the Mail | Aharon Hill Photography

One thing that I’ve really enjoyed about having our first child is that our mailbox has been constantly full of surprises!  Friends and family have wished us well with cards and gifts, and we purchased much of our room decor online… which means that often these things would end up on our doorstep.  All the love and well wishes sent via USPS, UPS and Fed Ex over last few months have made being pregnant (even in the summer heat!) super fun and exciting.

But now that I’m approaching my due date, we are all squared away on room decor and registry items… so all that seems to be showing up in our mailbox lately is a stack of yucky stuff like bills, etc. – lol!  So I was pretty excited to receive some surprises in the mail last week that were completely unrelated to my pregnancy!  Here are the 3 little things that lifted my spirits last week:

#1: A Rubber Stamp

Yes, even a stamp can put a smile on my face!  You may have noticed that my site and blog are sporting a new logo and color scheme… and it only made sense to me that such a big overhaul should be rewarded with a custom stamp.  So here it is!

#2: Honey, made with love

My friend Courtney, and her husband, have a honey business in Montana, called Glacier County Honey, and I have been itching to try their honey brew for some time now.  So as soon as I finished my generic brand, I went to their website and ordered my first bottle.  When the honey arrived (quite speedily, btw), I tore into the box as quickly as I could, and immediately squeezed a taste onto my finger… and it was divine, as I expected.  Check out the Glacier County Honey blog, where Courtney shares lots of stories, sometimes witty and sometimes touching, not only about her honey business, but also her life with Honeydew, part time law practice and family.

#3: Birth Announcement from a recent client:

Check out the sweet face that adorns the bulletin board above my desk:
