Out of Africa | Styled Photo Shoot

My former bride, Lauren Lee-Crane, who co-authors a very hip Atlanta fashion/style blog with her twin sis, is a graphic designer by day, and a stylist by night.  When I saw the amazing details of her own wedding, I couldn’t help but wonder what loveliness we could create if we collaborated on something down the road.  Well… several weeks ago I read on her blog that she and her hubby are moving to Scotland for three years.  My first impulse was to be insanely jealous of her soon-to-be adventure, but my second impulse was to think, wow– if we’re going to collaborate, we’d better do it soon before Lauren leaves!  Two weeks later, with the help of multiple Atlanta-area vendors including Callie Burnette of Calliespondence, Carol Gray of Carol Gray Calligraphy, Becky Kim of Gardenia Floral Design, Mamie Jo of Miss Mamie’s Cupcakes, Cakes and Such, and the Wren’s Nest, we pulled together an earthy styled session inspired by the gorgeously poetic film, Out of Africa.

Aharon! You did such a gorgeous job (not that I was in any doubt). Thank you so much for asking me to be your stylist! It was so much fun! One day I want to do a shoot with you – and we’ll have an unlimited budget and we can actually shoot in Africa (or Scotland or France!).
