Just a little over a week ago, I decided that it was finally time to apply to CMpro.
CMpro is a an organization of professional photographers within the Clickin Moms community, membership in which is awarded to a small fraction of applicants based on a critical evaluation of 150 images.
Many of the child and family photographers that I admire are part of this professional community, and for a while now, I had been searching the horizon for a chunk of time to finally curate a set of images for a submission.
My opportunity came in the form of a rainy weekend that my family was cooped up indoors… and for once, I had no unedited client sessions in queue.
So I spent the better part of the weekend selecting images that showed both command of, and range in, lighting, composition, white balance, color, creativity, cohesion, etc… then finally, clicked “submit.”
8 days later, the most wonderful email hit my inbox, congratulating me on my acceptance to CMpro!
Yay!
Here are just a few of the images I selected to be part of my submission set.
